Out of revenge, Thetis has the adult Perseus ( Kirby Morrow) transported to an abandoned amphitheater in Joppa where he encounters the elderly poet Ammon ( Maurice LaMarche), who tells him that Andromeda is under a curse and is unable to marry unless her suitors can correctly answer a riddle those who fail are killed. As punishment, Zeus has him transformed into a monstrous satyr and he is soon banished by his people. However, he has killed off every living thing in the Wells of the Moon, which he was entrusted to guard, and hunted Zeus's herd of sacred winged horses, with the exception of Pegasus ( Frank Welker). Meanwhile, Calibos ( Brad Swaile), a young man who is the son of sea goddess Thetis, ( Majel Barrett-Roddenberry), is due to marry Princess Andromeda ( Meghan Black), who is the daughter of Queen Cassiopeia, ( Jane Seymour), and heir to the throne of the city of Joppa. Meanwhile, Perseus and Danae miraculously survive and become washed up on the island of Seriphos, where Perseus grows into a young man. Zeus, however, kills Acrisius and orders the sea god ,Poseidon ( Scott McNeil), to free the last of the Titans, the Kraken, to lay waste to Argos. Fearing that his grandson will one day kill him, Acrisius has both mother and child locked in a coffin and set out to sea, in the hope that they will be killed. However, Zeus ( Jim Cummings), ruler of the Greek gods, impregnates her, resulting in the birth of Perseus. To stop the prophecy from happening, he has her imprisoned in a tower. King Acrisius ( David Kaye), the ruler of Argos hears from a prophetess that if his daughter, Danae ( Christina Hendricks), bears a child, that child will one day grow up to kill him. It was distributed by Universal Pictures. It is a remake of the 1981 film of the same title, although some plot details are changed.
